What To Look For?

Hi All,

I'm almost at a stage to purchase an E-Plate 1988 Defender with a 2.5TD in...

Is there anything I need to be particularly wary off ( other than it's high top speed

) or look for before said purchase?

Any help would be gratefully received.

As above, mines an 88 and the chassis is like a patchwork quilt, my mate has an 86 and you could eat your dinner off the chassis. You will soon find out how good a mate you have

The wiring may also have been butchered!

Plenty of nuts where I'm from....

Apparently the chassis has been away for patching and perfecting etc - it needs a rear shock mount welding on however he says....and the wiring has been completely re-done too....it screams 'buy me' and its £1400.....
