i understand that but its just the metal square part at the bottom

looks like a home made shock spacer.

the mount ?

looks like a weld on the top of that channel piece or may just be the light

bit of square tube would fix that but it's a bit of a bodge.

was thinking this as its not the mounting point its just some random block of metal someone has made up that has snapped the shock should be attached to the mounting bracket but it isnt

it's because they've fitted taller springs but not longer shocks to suit.

thats right know i have had a proper look.
could i remove the bodge and put the shock absorber back to where its meant to be?

you could if they shocks are long enough to reach properly, wont give much off road travel though

yep they have put larger springs on and bodged the shocks know gota figure out what springs they have put on and buy correct shocks!

most probably just some cheap plus 2 springs

gona bite the bullet and buy a pro comp 2 inch lift kit

these are probably a safer option. should also have +2 bump stops to stop shock bottoming out.

^ but not needed if you're buying full kit.
