256000k going strong. I bought it not so long ago. It's a 2004 td5 landmark. 1 owner from new full landrover service history. All work carried out by landrover. Mot at land rover. It's emaculate inside and out been well looked after. Not a single pics of rust any where. Original engine no smoke Evan when I put my foot down you will only get a tiny amount of smoke. And the oil is just like new. So if they are well maintained they will do the miles. I have a 1996 300tdi discovery. 230000k that engine is sweet as a nut as well. Bought that with 203000. No problems with them at all.

Waiting for EGR removal kit to arrive, should be here in a day or 2, hopefully wil fix the lack of power below 2000rpm.

Mines the same but I got told to unplug the mas and that should sort it out. I haven't tried it yet I'm still at work till weekend but will be trying it then. Because if the mas is giving fauls readings then the ecu will boost the turbo late a few people have said that there's where sluggish under 2000rpm but one done that works fine. So if it is just order your self a new mas. Only £35 on eBay OEM. Hope that can help you pal.

Some people who lease new cars (including disco's an rangies)for three years and they get the fleet clocked back to under 30k , so they only pay the bottom lease milage price , no mots to verify milage in the first three years , happens more than youd expect ,they insert fault codes ,usually exhaust temp sensor faults, so the car goes back b4 the end of the lease for a fix , the dealer erases all codes ,gets rid of the plug in details of the milage clocking. hey presto your 120k mile disco 4 is now a 29k disco 4

Mines on 85k, 2004 TD5, couldn't be happier with the car but sadly doesn't get used enough to warrant having it as a second car. Having just ordered my new car sadly either the Discovery or the mrs's Mazda 2 will have to go. Really can't decide thou :(

Just coming up to 229k and still regularly driving long distances - just returned from France - although I did have it re-chassied about 20,000 miles ago. Had it from new and I just love it!

Just hit the 100.000 mile her-dal! Mileage means nothing for these engines and I no that for a fact!
