Been fettling my new Defender .. not going as smoothly as hoped though ..

got my aux belts fitted and new windscreen washer pipes and jets only to find the halfrauds jets are fixed and set for being on the bonnet so they just spray the back of the bonnet oh well just need to find some different jets

Fitted a new bonnet release cable, jet washed it, then went landing and got it muddy.

Really must get the order of these things right

that seems the right order to me at least you can see the fun you've had if you wash it before

Big dent in one yesterday. It was the works defender so doesn't count I don't think as it's not mine.....

Welded my new side steps onto my 90 I can actully climb in it now

My grey bumpers were looking pretty shabby with a lot of water marks and worn areas. I bought some tyre black and buffed it in all over the plastic, it looks almost new now!

Greased me ujs. Properly sealed me snorkel up.

Went to Roundhill Woods in Tring and had a cracking day. Not a big place but plenty of opportunity to get muddy. First outing since taking the land anchor off and putting on a tank guard. Met some new faces too.

Spent a couple of hours trying to remove the bolts holding the rear plate onto the transfer box. What a bitch of a place trying to work in .

It was but ham off-roaders club at Roundhill

Mark there is a day in March if you want to come and drive round treasure hunt and a bit if trialling if you fancy with Anglian LRC

Fitted my lamp bar and got it all wired up

Just received my CB antenna. Tried to install it but it bucketed down with rain. Need to go and get some earth wire and some ties.

Changed exhuast & intake manifold. Re-torqed me wheel spacers make me feel better

A bit of a touch up on the black paint

Took the drivers door off to replace with a second-hand not-rotten one.

The second hand one had one hinge already fitted to it.

I got the old door off OK, but both the fitted hinge on the second-hand door, and the corresponding hinge on my landy are seized with rounded-off heads!

The drivers side doorway is now tarped up, waiting for my stainless steel replacement screws and lock-nuts to come before I go out there and drill'em out!

Oh the joys...
