Took the bearing out of the squealing AC on the 300tdi, I just have to find n buy a replacement one now. Fixed the knackered and horrible sagging drivers seat with nylon cord and a few giant tie wraps.

The nylon clip nut thing on one of the rear window mechanism fell apart and i couldn't find one anywhere, so after some google'ing and a bit of youtube inspiration ended up with this 10p fix / bodge.

I think you'll find that's treason!!!

Changed the starter motor on discovery td5.Top bolt was a nightmare to get off luckily the wife has small hands to put the bolt back in.Now she thinks she's a mechanic!

Welding.

Bit more welding, then for a change a bit more welding. I need a new mask, I have sunburn! ordered a cheapie from ebay, £20 ish .. should be Ok for the small amount and in frequency of welding that I do .. ebay No 180988430486

Going for a canal trip shortly, then will seal it all and prime it later. All inside the rear so might not give it a full paint job, but will underseal the outside. Looks like me arches will need doing next year!

i moved it to get a couple of cars in to do jobs on then drove it round the block and put it back in its place, wanted to work on it today but other peoples smelly cars stopped me from bein able to :(

Fitted new polybushes on a frame. Pig of a job, one bolt came out easy, the other had rusted to the metal sleeve in the bush. Spam endlessly. Tried everything to get it off. In the end I took and angle grinder to the bolt, ate away bit by bit. Took for ever. Horrid job, loads of **** on me. Including rubber from heating the bolt up and it spitting at me :/.

Having real trouble sourcing some break pads for front. Tis a 1989 90 with solid disks. All I can find is 1990 onwards :/ anyone know a part number?

I've never had a problem finding brake pads for mine and mine is a 1987 90. I imagine they would have exactly the same axles. Should be same as discos too. Find a good motor factor and they'll sell you the right ones

Ones I got were too wide but had the right pin fittings. Bit confused
