I've been tinkering with my alternator too!
Put a bigger ring terminal on as the new alternator I fit has a bigger post!

Stripped all the tailgate lock out of the Disco ...

cleaned it oiled ...

put it back...

fettled the fitting of the door striker plate...

works wonderful ...

had a cuppa ...

I gather thats a bugger of a job. I found it easier to change the door .

Made it work for its living, one of those days when I really could have done with a turbo fitted

Started the big rebuild, ordered the crossmember, replaced the front suspension turrets.....

Painted my radius arms a lovely red colour

Picked up a lovely box of hoses for the pas and inter cooler.

Replaced my clutch slave cylinder and man what a difference it makes. Lovely gear changing now

Aw lol. Well it was a ####ing nightmare but I think I just wasn't doin it right, I'd never done it before but got there in the end. I just did the old two man method, with someone inside pressing the clutch. If I'd had some tubing and an oil can I'd have reverse bled it as that looks so much easier

Tried that for a few min on mine without much luck... but I ran out of time, time to give it another blast!
