checked fluids and fitted front diff guard for next w/e. didnt bother with steering guard.

fitted the new nozel tip in the mig , then finished welding the new tow plate and welded a patch on a hole on the Xmember/chassis join.
just got a couple of small patches left to do should have it all rapped up tomorrow

Took a quick vid on my way home, only managed to get up to 30 due to some jackass crawling.

Camera was inside the car, windows down but it sounds half decent in person especially once you get up to speed

So its not just mine that rattles then lol

Had myself a productive day. Managed to make a dash with a starter button and some warning lights!!





Also made a start on a battery mount to hold my battery box as low in the rear tub as possible to keep the weight as low as poss.

Run out of metal to stick together so I left it half welded up awaiting some 3 x 50 mm angle to complete.




Started on mounting the cut out switch which sounds alot easier than it is! It must be located somwhere easy to reach by the driver when held back in your harnesses, when inverted on its side or any other interesting position. It must be a nice run for the Main battery and ign cables. It must be situated so I can run 2 bowden cables from either side of the motor to comply with regs incase for any reason the driver cannot cut the engine a marshall or official can get to either of the sides to kill the engine and electrics.

So proigress was made today which is good.

fitted clear front indicators..

as i broke one of mine saturday green laning...

finished off the chassis welding and gave all the new bits of metal a coat of paint.
and stuck the lz stickers on it

Took the fuel tank off me 110, easier than I thought

Drove it home from work with the rear sliding windows open, make the most of this great weather

took the front propshaft off, well I say took, it was more of a case of the rear half fell off as I was driving home from work, so I had to take the rest of it off, now got to buy and fit another one before this weekend as I'm supposed to be going to Wales on Thurs

If you'd driven around a bit more the other half would've fell orf anorl

sorted Steeing pump went for a test drive, just got off my drive only hear a load bang and then work out my diff is f#ck#D in the back end!!!!!( good news Pump is A1)

I removed my dragon searchlight from the back of mine and took it into the house to make sure it's fully charged for the weekend..... Just in case.

Fitted my nice new F.O.C airtek water pump
courtesy of RST Land rover after they boobed and originally sent me a ****part one

got home from work and drained oil, and new filter and sump gasket etc. Im getting there slowly one job at a time ,just rear diff oil left then new brakes for the old girl .

Went to Wicks and filled up with cement then had a beer

Golly..i knew they could run on veg oil but cement? Doesn't that cause starting problems overnight?

Not if you don't add water

Bought some more exhaust parts…….I'm making a twin exit underslung thingy tomorrow so we'll see how that goes.
