luckily it was 1 of the old warn out bfg's not the new insa specials

I took mine for a ride down some nice narrow lanes with lots of mud and tomorrow it will be wash day.....

You could add yer new one to yer siggy now.

Replaced a missing door strap on the passenger side, put a new petrol cap on (old one didn't lock).
Then took it on a lane for the first time since buying her (only a short one) and got her muddy for the first time

Topped battery up with a bit more acid, splashed some in my eye made some strange noises and rinsed eye with water. Now charging hope its gonna be ok.

I didn't do anything to my current landy but I did go and look at another one for the ballast. The vehicle under my scrutiny was a 200tdi disco. I was meant to have gone around yesterday but I got a phonecall when I was 5 mins away telling me that the seller had gone out. I was supposed to have been going offroading today but as the landy was meant to be a low mileage and rot free example I decided it was best to cancel todays plans and view the landy instead.

I wouldn't call it 'rot free' but in it's current state I would say it was salvageable. It needs 2 rear tyres, boot floor welding, rear crossmember/bumper, and is out of tax. The engine has only 100k on the clock and the owner has all mot's from new. I'm sorely tempted. The only thing putting me off is that the MOT is due in april. That means trying to get the welding done over winter.

We had considered it but tbh I'd rather keep it aswell as. I'm looking at getting it soley for the ballast to use over winter. Where I use the defender for work and am often out for 20 hours a day, it means she's stuck at home. At least she'll be able to get to her muvvers or to work.

fitted me "new" rear anti-roll bar on the 110

fitted new fookin expensive hub assy on n/s front on my disco, tis nice and quiet now, well pleased
