Made a tank guard last week and just fitted it today after getting it back from electro platers.

Morning All!

My clutch keeps going soft on me, usually after not using it for a while, like a trip down the motorway. Think its air getting into the system, because the fluid level doesn't drop by much.

Was going to replace the slave cylinder, and possible master as well (despite it being a TRW one and only being 6 months old), but I cant confirm which part is letting air in, there are no visible leaks on either, or along the hydrophilic lines. so its either leaking on the covered part of the slave cylinder, or the master cylinder is faulty and pushing air in.

I took it the garage where a friend stuck it on the ramp during his lunch and back bled the system, it was nice a firm for about a day then went soft on me again this morning.

Anyone know where to find some quality replacement parts, sick of cheep crap that breaks. I feel its more likely to be the slave cylinder playing up, when I replaced the master I didn't replace the slave, so its probable decided it wants a trip to the bin as well.

:D :( ;)

possibly best to swp both ,but often faulty m/c seals show by splashing in res when pedals pumped
