Definitely!Yeah, until Sunday.
It's going lovely and I'm not looking to sell anytime soon.
You must notice, that you don't see many D1's on the road theses days.
Become rare
Possibly but getting code C1B00 which could be a faulty steering angle sensor. Other symptoms so seem to match.Battery and earths first IMO.

Having just got all the bits to do the exact same job, and some advice about resealing the sump one I get it off, now you come along with this.Decided that I need to check the oil pump sprocket bolt on my 2000 TD5. First job was to remove the front crossmember. Air chisel, breaker bar and 2 hours of fighting with rusty bolts and it's done. Knocked the captive nuts off with air chisel so I can use bolts and nuts when putting the crossmember back.

I assume you changed the gearbox and didn't weld that cross member in place?I had the gerbox changed 4 months ago, PLEASE tell me that this means the cross member is now more likely to come off easily?
I kinda feel it should.
No, I had neither the time nor the facilities, (nor the good secondhand autobox to replac it with) so I put it out to a local indy. He did it just before we left for Frogland.I assume you changed the gearbox and didn't weld that cross member in place?![]()
The pressure release vaalve bolt check is a good one, and yup, I was going to do that one as if not I'd have to go throught the whole rigmarole of removing the sump again. Not seen the oil pick-up O ring change, but that too makes sense. Just need to add that to my list of parts for job. Ta mate!I've been reading about the topic and watched couple of youtube videos, these were mentioned:

- Pressure release valve bolt check, put back with thread lock
- Oil pickup o-ring change
Don't know how important these would be though.
