No not the heater matrix in my photo but if you think you have a leak there then get some dye in it if its leaking use the UV light on the carpet at night if its leaking it will glow a good in.

Yeah I've done the dye trick already, found no leaks in the engine bay, no pressurisation of my header tank, oil is fine, colour hasn't changed in the header tank and no white smoke out the exhaust. However, I can smell anti-freeze in the cabin.

I think the leak is so small, that by the time the fluid is absorbed into the carpet, the UV dye stops being luminous. I noticed a couple bits around the engine bay that I spilt from the header tank when removing the cap only stayed fluorescent for about half a day.

However, when I open the header tank, I can still see the dye in the system and it's still flurescent under UV light (I put the stuff in there over a month ago now! lol). Possibly the fresh air changes the fluid?

Mine glows for ages but clearly as it drys out its gonna effect things I find its better looking for a leak an hour after shutting off the engine the coolant system is pressurised so leaks out once its shut off and cooling down took me ages to find a leak on my p38 it neverleaked with the engine running buy did once shut off and after a while every morning small puddle.

Hmmm. I will take a closer look at the radiator though. I have noticed since I put the heater in the cabin on cold, the leak seems to have stopped (or slowed down considerably, although it's not a massive leak anyway - about 1cm every 6-8 weeks or so)
I did sort out several leaks to do with bad joints in the engine bay, mainly down to those crappy spring clamps.

Ever found a leak in a bike tyre??

Use a spray bottle and some washing up liquid with water added to it. The leaks will bubble like mad.

cheers , find solution in a bottle and a brush better, can hold the brush onto a fitting, always found the spray solution will run off faster than non aerosol liquid

suprising how well it can find the smallest of leaks

know there's also electronic leak detectors but to this day haven't found anything better than leak detector fluid

on some occasions poured neat fairy liquid onto a joint , seeing it will stay there longer , being thicker

Fitted new MAF - no noticeable improvement, Fitted DAB radio (old LR head available to good home), currently fitting LR cup holders, spent to long on internet trying to find a roof rack.....anyone know of one for sale? To fit Disco 2. Cheers, RayZ

I changed the drivers side ride height sensor. The bottom bush had rotted away. Should have been a simple job but had to drill out the two top screws.

The plastic surrounding the bush had also split and there was a cable tie helping to make sure it didn't come loose.

Where the top screws fitted had rusted away and the whole sensor had movement.

I have heard some people say they should be changed every 5 years along with the airbags. I can understand why. I will definitely changed the passenger side next week.

New front fog light fitted - old one had cracked, filled up with water and gone brown

Also fitted new aux belt tensioner and one of front drop links. Right old fight both removing and fitting the drop link, so leaving the other to next week.

Realised that my passenger side rear air bag is leaking. Raises fine when the engine is on, but drops slowly when the engine is off. These things always happen during a financially tight month!

Just looked at the rear wheel and it's starting to disappear up inside the wheel arch now. On the off chance that it won't re-inflate, am I still ok to move it a few metres to a flat piece of ground to do the repair?
