So maybe this is it.
We're off with a car load of family to Hardraw Force tomorrow, so if it's back to square one I'll be back here whinging again...but fingers crossed.

It wasn't Hardraw Force, it was High Force, and it was spectacular. What wasn't spectacular was the sqealing fanbelt. It's no good, I give up...I'm contacting my local indie LR guy :(

Done about 270 miles in mine this afternoon to collect my latest purchase as my disco will need some welding doing and I'll still need to get to work

Youd better order some contact adhesive for your wig don't want you to loose it :D

It's probably better off road than a freelander :p At least it's designed to be two wheel drive :D
Trailer chassis is in betterer condition than yer disco.

Am worried about yer. Yer not the only disco 1 owner on ere to buy a Ka. Yer be buying a ped next to increase yer street cred. It won't work.

Nice to see yer bought a rag top. Keeping with the lr tradition of a leaky roof.

I just finished replacing the oil pump bolt. Old one was tight all the way out, so it either had thread lock on it from new, or was done on a recall. Done now though for peace of mind.

From new (to me), my TD5 has always felt 'wrong' at higher revs, it's always felt as if it's trying to shake itself apart. I initially changed the injector loom, fuel pump, MAF, MAP and FPR which at the time seemed to fix the issue. However, I'm beginning to think it was all psychological and not actually fixing the problem as over time, the shaking never really went away, I just got used to it. So, after reading another fred about a D2 running roughly over 3k revs (link below)

I double checked that the Nanocom showed the correct codes, it did... so the codes I entered were saved, great... however, I can't remember if I ever wrote the settings to the ECU, so I did (coz I'm on holiday and had nothing better to do at the time), and to my horror, the engine now seems to enjoy revving at the higher end of the scale

I just assumed, incorrectly as it would seem, that saving the entered injector codes wrote them to the ECU as well. Anyway, lesson learnt, Thanks LZ. :D

Did you not read the codes to see if they were in the right places ?

Cheers

I had saved the actual codes in to the Nanocom not long after I bought it, but I never wrote them to the ECU. I just assumed that saving them, saved them to the ECU and thought nothing more of it.

Yes, I get that, but did you read the codes from the ecu and check the position against the engine ones?

Cheers
