Ok so I'm in the process of replacing the engine in the 03 Disco II 4.6V8 that I own in Canada (some money I've aquired means I can get rid of that damn rattly top-end due to the oil pump/block issue).
I'm trying to find out what exact engine I have so thought I'd do some digging for the engine number. From the photos I took (attached) it looks like my engine number is 08D09226A but that doesn't look like a valid number from the charts (http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/content-...Engine-Numbers). I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a 4.6V8 and that the car should be on the original engine at only 95kmiles.
