Greeting from Finland!

I've been Land Rovering (fixing and little driving as well) more than 10 years already. All year with the same Disco2. First the car was something like 5 years our only car in family. After reliability has drop we do longer trips with another car.

It has been opened a a change for me to do some updates to get Disco more offroad car (bigger wheels, winch bumper, some suspension lift...). I know that many Disco owners do not appreciate this, but I've also gotten rid of most of the "sophisticated technologies" in Disco (SLS, AES...) which were absolutely great features in everyday use, but now that the car is used more for hobby use, they are no longer needed.

I have to say that almost everything is chanced at least ones to this car :p. Most off the thinks I've done my self and some my son while he studied car mechanics.

Biggest projects has been the with the engine: Few years ago because of oil pump bolt got loose the timing chain snapped as well... So I only done cylinder head that time. Last summer the oil pump failed again and I was stupid and thought that I can still run few hundred meters to stopping area... when I got there engine seized. So I rebuild the whole engine at this time (this was actually nice project) all parts cost like 1,5k€ (1300£) and took few weeks.

All the time I've been reading Land Rover forums and RAVE manual and I have been able to do all the repairs through them. I guess I'm starting to have enough experience from Disco2 ant td5 engine that I might be able to help others in some cases. I'll try to be active.
