Started to strip of paint form the cappings yesterday and rub down the panels ready to undercoat, now my old girl is an ex airport SWB and has a nice coat of international orange both inside and under all the layers of paint......urm nice.

Outside she is a nice mix of NATO green with sand under that, now she has a military front bumper but when rubbing down today i notice the wings where at one time red and have holes where aerials have at one time been fitted.

On the back door it looks like a pioneer kit had been fitted.....she must have looked good. From the outside a bomb disposal truck with a bright orange inner glow lol

What did the previous owner of your pride and joy do to it before you had it.......was it good or bad?

so they didn't dress it as something is was not.....mind was after an ex-mil 109 so maybe a want to be 88 is not to bad lol

sprayed over the nato green matt finish with a nice coniston green ,a good quality high gloss finish, must of been done in a spray shop, just a shame they dint rub it down and its all peeling off now :(

me series 2 has 12 or more coats of paint on it, the finish it like render, rough as a bears arse, mostly brushed on ,

The list could go on forever...tin sheet with silicon round it with a thick coating of underseal posing as a welded repair....a wiring loom which seemingly came from several different vehicles which was causing small fires...things which should be bolted were riveted, and vice versa.

Mine was ex-MOD, despite being full civvy spec (officer car? clever people please explain), it was registered in 1985 from a 1978 build date and was painted green. She went on to be painted blue, then sold to Woburn Safari park, and given orange with black tiger stripped paint and a white hard top, which I have somewhere. She was also somepoint rolled in her life.

She was sold on, and painted green, and given a truckcab roof, though I know its had a tilt on it at somepoint before I put mine on, as it has all the hoops and rings, though the hardtop was more recent.

But yeah, mine was tiger stripped!

lol should have kept it tiger striped landie man lol:D
ours was originally green but i do wonder if there's an original panel left on her!! one front wing is blue , rear door sand, some panels seem to have been red and over the top of it all is the one official colour change of black:) we were going to put her back to green but not sure now. i put her extreme leakiness down to the fact that she's 10 different landies bolted together;)

I bought mine BRIGHT Orange. it used to be white. the guy roller painted it without roughing the original paint, now it flakes badly,
Oh well out with the pressure washer :)

the previous owner left mine completely standard including the standard rusty boot floor and sills and petrol pipes tha i have to deal with ....lol

the previous owners let the coolant get low, let the brake lights go pop, ****ed the spotlights, took it to france, mulled the drivers side window mota, took it to a festival, amonst other things.
