Well we finally have new boots and panties (oh er missus I meant Brembos )all round and it is a good feeling! However while I was busy with all that, my youngest son did a 'total' search on the old girl's chequered past and it was MOST revealing.
We had long suspected it had originally been armoured because of all the bits of kevlar fitted and have now found out the following!
The Rangey was purchased but left unregistered for 8 years...it was then registered anonymously in Canada and did 10 miles in 6 years!
It then returned to Europe via Slovania and other parts of europe where it did an astonishing 139,000 miles in one year!
From what we can gleam it was brought for the government abroad and then stored for the use of a high ranking diplomat in Canada.
So the 184,000 miles it had on the clock (in kilometres) was valid with most of the miles being driven in 2020.
This would explain why some of the under body was immaculate in places.
We always knew she had some dark secrets! This would also explain why the dreadful GM 5 speed box hasn't expired yet as realistically it has only been in use for THREE 'road years'.
Pretty interesting I thought and it does ewxplain some of the weird anonolies we have come across.
