it has a plastic male coupler on one end and a hose on the other its probably three inches long in total I don't know the part no on microcat but it has LRVJHC000081 on the hose and I've ordered one from lr parts when I said that no they seemed to know what it was

Fair game, never been round the back of mine yet, didn't know there was coolant hoses there bar the heater matrix...

Will be RAVE-ing later to see if I can spot it!

the dealers didn't know what it was from a photo in position that I showed them thank god when I got home and took the pipe off it had id numbers on it or according to them I would have to keep ordering pipes as a process of elimination (its a 2004 4.4 petrol by the way)

Found it :D

EIT: Not sure which one it is on the RAVE Manual though! (Pictures 2-5)

That looks like Callout B on picture 2 and the angled pipe above is callout 6 in picture 3which connects to B .....

It is attached to the alloy manifold between the two cylinder heads by the looks of it!

On the MicroCAT diagram, it connects to the Alloy Manifold at the angled connection near the top centre...is my guess

yes I think you've definitely cracked it that's where it goes do you think its still the 8a505a as I do ?

I THOUGT GOOD IDEA to lift the suspension crawl under and make sure the leak had gone. pop went the driver side air bag. so ordered a new one and fitted it yesterday, it was a night mare the bottom bolt of the strut was seized and took me two hours to free by a 18 inch bar and a blow torch finally got it all back together and took it for a good test drive when I got home I thought silly me have a look underneath to check no fluid from the leak I fixed previously, well there was no anti freeze but there was black grease everywhere. seems my good idea to use a blow torch caught the driveshaft boot and burnt a tiny hole for the grease to centrifugally spew out. ANYONE GUESS WHAT IM DOING TOMORROW

This is a good example of why you never ever get under an unsupported Range Rover on Air at extended height....what would have happened if the strut went pop and you were under it???

Word to the wise, never ever rely on the extended height to gain access under your Range Rover, ever...use suitable jacks and stands at all times!

what a mess !

the plot thickens!! I ordered the new drive shaft boot repair kit from the dealer yesterday at 8 am and they assured me that the part would be delivered to them Saturday morning and it would be available for me to collect at 8.30 am. so I forced the wife to take a day of work to look after the kids and called in a favour from my cousin who works at an audi dealer. he said we could do it after his morning shift and he had called a favour from his boss to let us use the ramp. so Saturday morning I head to the dealers to find that the part hasn't arrived apparently the had been sent the previous day order again and not Saturdays as you might imagine I looked quite irate at this moment the service manager stepped in and I explained all to him. to my surprise they said they will re order the part it will arrive on Tuesday and THEY WILL FIT THE PART AS A GOODWILL GESTURE.:cool2::D
