Water sensor light has been coming on intermittently for a few days. I changed the fuel filter and thoroughly cleaned the sensor (wd40 and contact cleaner), thinking it would just be a dirty connector.
Light's still coming on, despite the fuel filter change and clean.

What's strange is that upon puting the key in position II, the water sensor light does not light up for the bulb test. All others come on fine.

Not sure if anyone had this. I know these sensors are pretty bad on the TD5 but if anyone has any experience with this issue, I would appreciate your help before buying a new sensor.

becarfull where you post mate...you might get asked does the engine still run by the twin sisters .. seems like electrical issues are not part of the engine

I have mine disconnected doesn't throw a light .I would suggest purchasing some duck tape or any black tape

I'll be conscious of where I post from now on, thanks

The light's not come on for the past 2 days, so whatever I did, looks like it cured it, at least for now.
