wading kits?

im going to use my 300tdi for off roading. i will be driving through thee odd bit off water but mostly boggy stuff is it realy an nessity for a wading kit?
and if so can any one advise on witch one to get?

by wading kit - if you mean extended breather tubes and drain plugs then yes - if you mean a snorkel - then it depends how deep you intend going.

id say driving through a few rivers! yes i did mean extended breathers i see there are kits avalibe ranging from £20 to £70 pound!
yes i will definatly be getting a snorkel just been looking for a safari and listing all prices ive come across! listed around 10 companys so far! the prices vary so much!
do you think it would be helpfull to people if i listed them on here?

This is the kit I got. The fittings are good quality, there is enough tube to complete the job without a problem.

I only have one problem, I can't find the existing breathers coming from the gearbox and transfer box into the engine bay.

i no where that is on mine it comes up by the lift pump in the tunnel i found it when i changed the lift pump.

got this kit you advised very good kit came yesterday fitted yesterday took me arround an hour exellent kit wit plenty of pipe left over!

I'm picking a kit up from a mate who runs his own autoparts supplies company. it's basically a set of push fit fittings and a lenght of hose I'll let ya know how much and if it's any good on Thurs, and if anyone wants one I'll sort it for them.

if it's any good and the price is OK might be up for one.. but best nit fit it till after salisbury or mrs b 'll kill me..

depends how much... and if I can overcome my dislike of them... and if I can't think of any other way of doing the same job...

I don't like the look of them is all ... I like the look of my motor as it is and wanted to keep it looking stock.
