vcu breaking the diff ??

Hi Guys has any one ever come across a siezed vcu breaking something in the diff mine seems to be making a very deep throaty grumbling noise when turning hard i have changed the vcu which has made it better but still there i noticed when i changed the vcu with both rear wheels off the ground when i turned the road wheels the propshaft didnt move :eek: is this normal i will be looking further in to it tomorrow your help would be greatly appreciated

Not sure MHM think i was looking for somthing more sinister i am going to re check with a clear head tomorrow thanks for your reply :)
 
Hi

Have checked the exhaust and tried to move it all ways but cant get it to knock against anything have jacked up rear wheels and the opposite wheel does turn in the opposite direction i am now at a loss as what else to try

Hi have eventually got time to check no breaks in the subframe or mounts and chassis is ok too:) rear diff mounts are a bit sloppy so will change them and will check oil level in final drive too
