V8 vs V6??

Heres one for all you experts I will soon be aquiring a S3 Ltwt 2/14 petrol 1979.

I was wondering which is the better engine + gearbox conversion V8 or V6

as per normal cost is s factor but this is a second vehicle for use on the farm pulling trailers and maybe a bit of fun so mpg is no major thing

any ideas welcome - I must admit i think the sound of a V8 is unbeatable but is it the best option?

okay, then my next Q, which V8 and gearbox - so i can keep my eye out.

perhaps a landy V8 + GB which is in a f*cked landy??

A 3.5 with the stronger LT77 box is often promoted as being the ideal setup.

3.9 v8 with auto makes for a very relaxed cruiser and animal offroad.
3.9 r380 disco t box good cruiser and wicked offroad

in a series three fit the disco axles for disc's brakes so it can stop!!!

8 cylinders is 2 more than 6 - it must therefore be better.

Unless you is swimming cos then 6 cylinders is 2 less to get wet.

nar - V8 is betterer than V10 any day. .
