V8 Battery Size

Just a quick one.

What size battery do you have/need to run a V8? the PO of my lightweight bought a huge Numax truck battery that I cannot find a battery box for I want to relocate it in the engine bay, but its massive. Thinking of a downsize? whats standard to run these things? dont understand spark ignition I have no extra electrics, no reverse light, no fog lights, no stereo just headlights, tail lights and indicators.

Just to start the engine as the alternator takes over the standard items when running then use a 069 or 072 which is the standard battery for a RRC and disco 1

That site lists a bloody lot of batteries. They can also advise over the phone as to the best size/ power rating.
For example the RR classic 3.9 is a 278 x 175 x 190 mm 72 power with 660 cold crank amps.

yer, i was thinking of an AH in that range... same as diesel. Thanks for the confirmation chaps. Think I will go smaller and move the battery from the back into the engine bay
