Hi Guyz

Just been given 2 new Goodyear Wangler AT-R's, but they are 225/75/15 I was wondering if they will be ok on my TD4 (will they catch arches etc) its a standard FL not a sport....

Many thanks
EvO

A quick calculation gives the overall diameter as 28.3"
The originals on my 06 TD4 auto are 26.7"
I have a set of 205/75R16 for off road and these are 28.1", these do not foul even in extreme circumstances.
Three points to note:
1) The overall gearing will change, top gear will be more like an overdrive even if chipped.
2) Fit a set of four if you do not want to destroy the IRD unit - been there done that
3) The facelift version 2003-2006 has a greater wheel offset than the original, this might change the fouling issue.

Hi,
If you visit the "tyretrader " site it has a useful tyre calculator section, you just type in your old tyre size, then the size you want to fit and it instantly gives you the speed differences at say 30mph and 70mph. As well as things like overall diameter etc.

Tyres car 4x4 commercial
Brian.

If you don't have the same circumference tyres on front and back you will destroy your VCU and probably your IRD. If they do fit change all four or it will cost you alot of money.

Thanks again for your input guys, yes I'm planning to change all tyres to the size above... :)
