I am looking for a set of 6 BFG all terrains KO2 in size 265/75/r16. My question is where is the best place to get them from. Asking some local suppliers has given me prices of about £300 per tyre. ATS appear to have the best prices online at £217 (LINK). They also look like they have a 15% discount for their “hero club” (effectively blue light discount) but I cannot work out how to sign up for this. I am waiting until after the bank holiday to phone them up.

Does anyone have any suggestion for where is currently the best place/price to buy these tyres?

I will also mention that although I want 6 I want to get them in pairs as that allows me to paint the wheels before fitting while still running the vehicle.

It seems like a pretty good price for BFG All Terrains. Most other places are about £20 more. It says 'fully fitted' price, so I suppose you just take your rims to the nearest ATS establishment as they become available, as it doesn't seem to make a difference to the price per tyre how many you type in the box.

I wonder whether the reality you encounter will match the website. Be prepared for the shaking heads and the sound of air being sucked through teeth 'We don't usually have them in, mate' and 'Bit big for our tyre changer to be honest'.

I see there's an online form for the Hero Club https://www.atseuromaster.co.uk/special-offers/hero-club?q=hero club Interestingly, it doesn't ask for any details of one's employment in the services, other than asking what sector you're in. So maybe it's just on the basis of self-report.

I have completed that but was expecting an email or similar to then submit proof but there is nothing. Unless it is present on site, which is not a problem, it just seems odd there is not way of confirming other than your word.

That was my expectation. But I would need to speak to them anyway as I currently only have 5 tyres (one got a sidewall gash a few months ago) so don’t want to pay for 6x disposal. I also have my own valves (will fit new ones) but I use the half height ones which are not standard but makes them more difficult to catch off road so again don’t want to pay for valves which is separate line when you get to the checkout.

I am prepared for the sucking of teeth and the “internet price only” speech. But ats do hgv so I am not expecting excuses about the size of Land Rover things.

Pop in to Silverline Warwick and have a chat with Simon, you’ll get a good deal face to face.

Mine came from ATS recently, ordered online. Couldn’t find any better deals than them at the time.

Are you friendly with someone who is vat registered? A local farmer or tradesman? With the vat off they come in around £185 each.

Great choice of tyres! I got the exact same fitted last year cost £900 for 4 fitted locally

I have run bfg at’s for years. I am coming to the end of my second set which have done about 150k miles and were bought as left over stock ( from about three garages, no one wanted one or three as it’s not a set) of the old style when the current generation came out.
