Discovery 5 tyre size suggestions

Hi All,

Information requested on Discovery 5 tyre size.

Presently specifying for a new Discovery, Most 'standard' packages appear to be on 21inch with extra cost for say 20 inch ( although the spares are cheaper for smaller sixes ??)

My use is primarily road use but lI ive in Highlands and concerned about rim damage. Has anyone experience of running on 20 inch rims with more tyre ? My present D4 seems to be better on 19 inch to standard 20 inch, I also note that the what car review stated smaller better / more comforatable

As usual it appears its bigger for looks only ! Any thoughts ? many thanks

We went down from 20 to 19 on our L322 to give taller wall and better choice of tyre, our road surfaces here are very question as to it being called a road rather than a long pothole at times, we get though less tyres now.

We did it originally for winter tyres to change over, but now run them all year.

The only issue we had was finding a wheel that gave caliper clearance and correct loading.
