I’ve treated Freddie to some nice new rubber…He now has 5 Yokohama Geolanders GO15.

The OE size for my freebie is 225/55/17. As many advised me already, you can sneak a 225/65/17 on with no issues - which is what I now have. And if you want to know, the speedo is now pretty much bang-on the money according to gps.

So, question; the book says 30 psi for OE tyres. What do you guys find a good number on these GEOs?
30 seems a bit too low with the slightly higher walls, especially at the front. (I’m generally running quite light, and only 1 or 2 people 90% of the time).

nice one, where did you end up getting them from? good price? cheers

I got them for 130 a piece, fitted. That’s every so slightly cheaper than Black Circles and others - friend of a friend!

I always ran my 225/60/17 tyres at 32 PSI, they had even wear across the tread. I also swapped them front to rear every 5k miles.
I think I’ll rotate mine too… including the spare (otherwise it becomes redundant as it’s a different size before long, and will let the smoke out of a CVU!
I was thinking id just rotate it on the front axle, leaving the back alone, but then changed that to rotating on the back axle only, in theory keeping it the ‘newer’ set of tyres (wearing across 3)???
It’s harder than rocket sciencology is this!

1mm difference in tread depth doesn't hurt the VCU, be that 1mm smaller tyre on the back or front.
Keeping the spare new helps when you next buy tyres, because you'll only need 4 not 5. ;)

Well I thought that at first - but it’ll be Sod’s law that I’ll do that and then I’ll need to use the spare when it has 8mm and all the rest have 4 or something!
I literally laid in bed last night thinking “maybe I’ll rotate all 5 every 2 months, just to keep everything even”!!
I guess the upside to that is the set would last 20% longer!
