Transmission, automatic or manual

Hello everyone. For and against converting automatic transmission manually. Is it expensive? Complicated job?

Surely the real question is "what do you prefer?"

It depends on your own preferences and what you use the car for mostly.

We have a V8 manual, both of us drive it and don't think anything of it, we are both used to driving manual cars and vans.

We tow a fair bit and I prefer a manual box for towing, but almost as many will say they prefer manual for towing, it's a preference thing.

Messing about with the gear box is making trouble when you'll have enough on ya plate with everything else.Buy the car with the box you want.Its all down to personal preferance, i prefer manual, but auto landies are alot easier to drive

As most are saying it's down to personal preferance, i have an auto range rover for my everyday car and love it but for my off road disco i personally prefer the manual.
