Transfer box oil type on auto

I topped up my diffs today on my 300tdi. I checked for a 1/2 inch hole/plug on my transfer box but could only find what looked like 17mm bolt head at the bottom and half way up the n/s of the case,
can anyone advise me as to what oil I need to put in it and where the level plug is, i have searched the net without any success,
also I have not been able to select low range it seems very stiff, is there a cpmmon fault or something to lubricate?

level plug is on the rear face, next to the hand brake drum. follow the speedo/handbrake cable.

ep 90 for transfer box. not gearbox tho.

On the 300Tdi manual the top up plug is on the rear to the left of the handbrake drum looking forward.
I got mine off using the 1/2 square drive of a breaker bar, also worked on both axles.

yes auto t/box is the same ,75w/90 or 80w90 gear oils are acceptable
