not just that easy you have to pay to join glass you then need to wait for your membership number than have to ask for this key.

Seems easy enough to me.. Also be aware that trailwise lists all public rights of way including footpaths bridleways etc etc you need to check that the route you're wanting to do is actually a byway..

Brilliant. So its ok for one of us to pay the money and let you use it for free???

One of the reasons you have to pay to join is so you contribute to the cause. The list of lanes is a benefit because you have a genuine concern for keeping greenlanes open and driving them responsibly.

rob.

so far you have been a bit of a train wreck when it comes to green laning.

1. you posted up grid references for a group of lanes, not a good idea im afraid.

2. you posted about laning in the off road section, could be an honest mistake but i reckon you think of laning as off roading, not good either.

3. you seem to show little regard for the crisis situation we are in. the reason trailwise is limited to glass etc members is because it is difficult to get into glass. i got denied, cant remember why, just cos i was a normal guy i think. glass dont want anyone joining up, getting on trailwise and then making a mess. thats why its difficult to get into the "club".

4. the money you pay to glass is to support the cause and the information source, as above. asking for a ref key so that you can get access to the info bearing in mind the points i listed above is just not cool.

please take heed :)

some people on here dont!

Numpties then. I always check the status of the lanes before I go out.. even one's that someone else has sent me.. :D :D

After all some of em have seasonal tro's on them. and we all know what councils are like for downgrading lanes and removing vehicular rights.. Just look at theYorkshire Dales.. Council have tro'd almost all the byways.

ok fella calm down i am new to all this forum stuff i did not know you could not post grid ref thought i was doing you a favour helping some one out who like to green lane.

Ok,

So this was probably a bit of a steep learning curve for you, its nothing personal it really isnt. What were all trying to say is that you have to just be a little bit careful because of the morons out there ruining it for all of us.

We all see the same things posted on the forum every week. Its like the "whats the biggest tyres i can put on my truck?" question. It gets a little tedious thats all.

If you stick around long enough you'll develop a thick skin :D

Rob

I am really new to this, I joined Glass about a week ago during the Xmas break, paid the money I already have my membership pack etc, and The lady there rang me yesterday and said I would have my trail wise key tomorrow (which is today now)

So probably be even quicker now we are out the holidays.

Just please remember that although it is a real pain in the arse it seems that green laning is more of a privilege than a right these days.
So kiss the ladies arse on a horse whilst going past nice and slowly, smile and chat to walkers and don't ever go off the road.
Then we might start to bring back the reputation of a fantastic past time.

Pass the sick bag.....

ok ok lads just to let you know i always make sure i can use the greenlanes i always drive to the track i always stay on the track and always am plsent to the walkers even when they are not. i have joined the crag site to
