Hi all
At the moment i am stripping down my 110, as it has a knackered chassi and bulkhead. I am currently taking off the rear axle and have removed the nuts on the end of the trailing arms and all the bolts on the axle, i then tryed to pull it back expecting it just to come back but it seems that the rubber bushes on the end of the trailing arm are holding it on. Does anyone know how to get by this problem? I have tryed to remove the nuts and bolts that hold the trailing arm to the axle but they seemed to be seized solid.

Any help will be most appreciated

Cheers Dan.:)

There is no trick to this other than lots of brute force - and if that fails heat - sometimes lots of heat - you may even have to burn out the bushes but be very very carefull as the fumes arnt good for you (and something you didnt want to burn might also catch fire)

There shunt be any need to blow the universe up or owt just hit the friggin things an they'll come off. Have you undone the three bolts that bolt the front mounting to the chassis?

Yeah i had to cut them off because the buggers where so seized, well i have managed to get the trailing arms off but the rubber bushes are still left on the chassi so i'll have to figure out how to get them out, are they in two pieces? like the poly bushes are.

Classic stuff SLOB, that thread made me laugh and laugh last year when i enquired about removing the bushes in my SIII leaf springs :)
