I have to agree... heat wrap on a vehicle that gets muddy allot wont help with rust. Most headers are not made from a high enough grade stainless, so they will still rust on a slower scale

Cast manis will be fine but tubular steel (Hedman) I wouldn't fancy.

Probably no problem to wrap any type of stainless, will last long enough, just hedmans are steel and that's asking for trouble!

A little more sorted tonight mainly just little jobs, painted up some of the water pipes, earthed some wires for the new ECU, fitted new door seals, touched up a few bits of paint, made a covering plate for the old clutch position wgere the fuel pump is going to fit and made some fuel hoses, little jobs like that, another night at it tomorrow try and get fuel sorted tomorrow and work towards getting air and water completely finished as there almost there. Then it's just engine wiring and interior :)

Stupid question which is in and which is out ?

We have progress, fuel is done, air is basically done and we have it turning over off the key,

But we don't have power to the coil so where is this power fed from and when we add power we have a spark but it still doesn't start so the injectors arnt firing so we have a problem there too

Any help ? :) do we need to connect anything to the sensor on the side of the gearbox to tell the ECU it's out of gear ? Is so how

Anything obvious I'm missing ?

you can just join the 2 inhibitor wires together if you dont want it to function and engine to start, presuming inhibitors wired into loom

v8 loom has a branch with 4 wire round plug ,2 wires for reverse light 2 for inhibitor which just interupts starter solenoid, box doest need it
