I appear to have an intermittent problem with the traction control system on my
Freelander 2 which is 3.5 years old. After starting the engine and it has checked its systems, it comes up with the message that there is a traction control problem. It warns that traction in some road conditions may be reduced. This first happened about a 2 months ago, and happened each time the engine was started, or happened after about 30 seconds. Then the fault suddenly disappeared and no warnings appeared. This normal condition continued until for about 1 month, but today on starting the engine the fault diagnosis reappeared. I would be pleased to hear from anyone who has had a similar experience, and even more interested to hear how the fault can be resolved. If I decide to live with the fault, is there any damage being caused by delaying a remedy. Its nice to have this facility but its not something
I need on a regular basis, I would prefer to put off a repair when I can better afford it.

Need to get fault codes read.

Could be a number of things which cause the message to appear from engine to gearbox to haldex diff so without reading codes you're only guessing
