trace my number plate

Hi all, my disco has a private plate on ( did have when i got it ) i would like to know what vehicle it was first registered to, does anybody know where i can get that info, i tried dvla site with no luck, tried google, and tried a search on here, thanks

it's been on it for years, not sure how many i haven't got the documents in front of me, but the older mot certs show a J registration number

Just done a check via e-bay on a disco with a private plate. It came up with the details of all the previous plates it had had on.
It's a viechele staus report - powered by HPI. there's an option to do them on nearly any car you buy on e-bay and I think there's a link to thier website. cost us £6.99. think it's more if not done through e-bay.

mine says origional reg on logbook and also etched on the glass, not sure if they where all etched though but take a look. looking back through my service history and recipts etc its had about 6 private reg's on.
