I have a poor mans ditacable tow bar. I do used much and most of the time I dont have it fitting.

The towbar is just standard but with new bolts and copper grease.

The only problem is find a suitable location for the cable and sockets where its not going to get damaged but can still reach the caravan.

Any idea?

In the back door. The loom will thread down thru the flexi conduit that the wiring harness runs in to stop it getting caught when opening & closing the door. Yu might want to make short patch leads to extend the tow sockets if the cables on the pikey wagon are a bit short.

Forget the above. Just seen the pic & yours is a rangey Ask the butler to sort it out for ya.. :D

On my '93 Classic the Sockets where mounted on the support leg (yours are the large triangular legs coming from under the car)

If your lead won't stretch it isn't rocket science to make up an extension lead with a socket on one end and a plug on t'other of the requisite length.

Rob

if yours is a P38 then the sockets (either 2x7 pin or 1x 13 pin) fit nicely in the rear valance below the rear bumper, each side of the towbar mounting.

Hope this helps

On mine i removed the 2x7 pin ones, re-wired in a single 13 pin one (new van) and used the space created for the LPG filler
