Is there a live feed on the plugged in rear towing socket ?

Firstly, good afternoon all, secondly it seems I`m still alive
(just here to annoy people as my late wife said) but...
I been wondering, as I need a good sourced live feed into the rear of my "estate" TD4, and I have got the plugged in wiring for the towing socket, does someone more clevererer than me know If theirs a live feed for auxiliaries in the lead from plugged into loom to tow socket.
Yes I could go out into the cold and use my multi meter probing the wiring, but by off chance thought I`d ask first.
Already asked a similar question about a rear seat centre console cigar lighter socket but my hippo dont have that feature sadly..
I NEED a 12 volt power source in the rear load space for my moby scooter, as soon I got a trip to see my dearest soon to be 11 year old grandson being fostered some miles from me in Norfolk, we meet In Norwich town centre and walking about Is Involved and TBH my legs are a problem "at the moment"
Yes I know, I`m playing the disabled card but its dam cold out right now to find good 12 volt source i can fit a cigar socket too... It`ll look silly running (fused) wires from battery to boot .. Its OK If no one can help, as I will go out and sort something out, but thought I`d just ask first.
I hope everyone has settled nicely after Christmas, the new year, and of course SHH BREXIT - lol..
Friday night our BBC LOOKEAST came from our seafront Wetherspoons Pub, for a news piece, truthfully saying, It was CLACTON ON SEA that really was the EPICENTRE of the UK`s BREXIT as It was our "Douglas" (ex MP Douglas Carswell) that pushed for it some years ago, a true fact all of that.
Like him or not, I used to closely work with him for a few years on local problems, even my late wife and I being tellers for one of his wins as MP locally, then invited "upstairs" at out Town hall (princes Theatre) to over see the count.... One of the few times I wore a suit & tie - lol
Anyway, thats enough crap about my past..

Hi Ian,
If you just have one socket with the car electrics, lights etc then the answer is no I am afraid.
When a second grey charge socket is fitted there is a permanent 12v feed present.
What sort of power do you need for your buggy?? If it is to charge it then you could perhaps consider (I can check the fuse rating for you) taking a feed from the sidelights and turning those on when a charge is needed??

Just thinking out load really. There may be an ignition on 12v behind the side panel, would need to check, for the rear door release or interior light.

If you confirm what you need the supply for I can trawl the circuits.

Quick look shows that the boot light has a permanent 12v on a purple wire as the switching is done on the ground side which is purple and white.
This is on a 5 Amp fuse and it does drive other things so if you don't need much power this could work and can be accessed by pulling the light unit from the side panel. You wouldn't then need to take the boot side panels off.
Fuse 14 in the drivers knee fuse box controls this circuit. This is all from my 2003 circuits.
From 2004 looks like it is still purple but has a 10 Amp fuse number 16 in the same fuse box.
If you hang a charge wire onto the interior load space light, I would add an inline fuse holder and then the cable so that if there is a fault or a short circuit you don't affect the vehicle. Fuse rating suitable for your charging requirement.

think i had better firstly check the requirements on the 12 v moby scooter needs, I might be causing trouble If I need 10 AMP or more but i know the charger charges 2 12 volt circuits for the supply in the moby scooter.
(Ohh just thought the charger would make a nice heavy duty twin 12 v split charge on "things" as well) anyway I digress.
maybe tomorrow if the winter seaside sun is out i might check that fuse number 16 to see what amp rating it has.
The very worst way will be taking a single 12 v feed from the battery, fused at source, then safety run into the boot..
earthed out locally in the boot.

You're best bet is to extend the switched feed for the rear power socket in the centre console. You can see the plug, if you pop off the blinking plate on the rear of the centre console. This plug output is rated at 20 Amps, and is switched on the ACC position on the ignition switch. It's very easy to run extension wires from the plug to the boot area, there is even an official LR boot power socket kit which comes with the wiring to do it. That's where I'd start myself.

I assumed that if the socket not fitted the wiring wouldn't be, but you are right, if the wiring is there then use that.

The wiring for the power in the rear of the console socket is there, as it's part of the core harness in all FL1s. The luggage space power socket was an official LR accessory, so the power for it was made available in the rear of the centre console.

Today was taken up taking my "little boy" my son aged 50 - lol
to Colchester Hospital for his check up,
nearly died 2 years ago with SEPSIS and 2 blood clots in his left leg bless him.
He`s OK, a petrol head still like me, VW nut, and like me a traditional scooter nut (its all his fault i am)
But, life comes along, changes things,

just had a hour before dark (and cold) looking through my hippo, yes I found the purple and earth power feed under the centre cubby hole noting the blanking plate for rear accessories / cigar socket+
Now I cant yet find paper work or 12 volt moby scooter charger so dont yet know the requirements, but, if the wiring goes from the above source to the rear I would assume it was powered enough for a cigar socket lighter ?.
A very late start outside today through "family Issues last night"
Had to call 999 for my "mental case daughter again"
I kid you not.
nightmare at times but I`m still here,
too old or stubborn to die yet - lol

(think it may be something to do with tax avoidance once in the USA..)

It's rated at 20 Amps IIRC, so should be more than capable of charging a mobility scooter.

just to update my wrongs (as if)
Finally found my 2 types of moby scooter chargers, 1 mains and 2nd 12 volt powered - BOTH put out 24 volt (variable) not 12 as I wrongly said.
Upon finding them both never wanted to work, so fixed the 12 volt one first, the little spring under the glass fuse in the cigar socket plug was misbehaving - sorted that.
Took apart the mains charger but could see nothing wrong, so wiggled some wires - put it back together and that now works also.
But good old bay of E sold me a complete new mains one for £8-99 delivered..
The mains ones are better as the output peaks at 27 volt but reduces as the batteries charge down to a maintenance trickle, so its label says.
Well, next is move the power feed with good joints into the back of my "wagon"
Rome was`nt built in a day they say..lol.
Topped up my Td4 earlier with £40 of ASDA derv plus half a bottle of redex, but was running a bit "off" so later I added another £14 worth plus the best car wash in town £6.
A rarely seen fuel gauge reading now.
Currently taking then collecting my now 20 year old granddaughter to work, then home as shes doing nights at the moment and its only 12 miles each way but in the middle of nowhere really..
Let her get into the routine and she says she will bus it bless her..
