Other top engine cover

was wondering if anyone has seen some grommets like these please

not going to buy a second hand cover at over 50 quid

these grommets go into peg like fixings

need four of them plse

wondering if anyone has got any ideas please

the writing inside the rubber grommet says

EPDM - X + PP 10

Google automotive fixings and I think you will find what you need, I'm away so can't link

I'd be tempted to email someone like LR-Direct and some of the other web traders, send them your pictures and ask them.

That is just the material for the grommet, every auto part should be identified for recycling purposes. Not much use for identifying the part. Sorry.

Go look at Disco 3 in a 2nd Hand Garage, when the guy gives you time to look over it yourself, get the bonnet up and nick then

Or wait till LZ 13 and make friends with a fellow 3 owner and when he's not looking

It does not appear to be a separate part in the microcat I can see,
The pins are , but not the fixing blocks.

The grommets are very similar and could be the same to the Ford items don't you think, as they have the same method of securing the engine cover. Cost around £5.50 each so have a look.

i can't imagine just one model using these

just the case of finding out what other model have them

like the mat securing fixings

found out they were also used in a mazda mx5 , half the price as well

know that ford, volvo, citroen, jaguar , bmw all have there names around the car

thks, am going to write down the part numbers and then order some from the breakers

will see then what matches, lol

the engine was jaguars , then citroen and bmw was involved

they do call it though a 2.7 v6 lion engine

citroen and land rover use the block , then jaguar built the rest of it , fitting it in the D3 and jags

No BMW involvement, Ford mainly with some PSA help

there was some cross involvement across the board and to be honest i'm only going on what i've read

it did also seem a lot of manufacturers got involved, but maybe it was an inquiry only and not an actual production????
