Here you go chaps, your morning mission should you choose to accept it.
We have exhibit A, one landrover 110, 2.5td.
Battery seems fairly well charged, volt/ammeter in cab showing only a little less than normal (and it is a cold damp morning) Lights shine properly etc.
However on trying to use the starter motor, it is as though the battery is flat. This has happened a couple of times before, generally on cold mornings, my thoughts are led to bad earthing or connections as the battery seems to be OK.
Found out the battery connections, battery-chassis earth, and the lead connecting to the starter motor. They all seem tight enough so I giddem a bash wi'anammer. Still no joy. Can you think of anything else for me to try? I can't bump start it without maybe 6 rugby players because of where I live and where I'm parked. Jump leads are also not an option
