Hi i have a 2011 freelander 2 face lift sd4 and the problem im having is when i try to start the car first thing in the morning it turns over 10 + times ( battery seams to get alittle slower) and then fires up once its started its great all day and starts on the button ........
I have code read the car and no codes are showning or stored.
The battery is new.
I have tested the starter motor and charging system and all ok.
The drain on the battery when locked is .005 amp so thats ok.
Its got full service history from land rover specilist.
any help or ideas would be apperciated

It's possible that the fuel is draining back to the tank overnight. I've come across this issue, which was caused by a leaking O ring at one the connections on the fuel filter. That's where I'd be looking first. There a clear section of fuel line between the filter at pump, which is perfectly placed to see if there's air in the fuel line.

I have a late FL2 and an early FL2 the early one was just like your until i added the extra earth lead from battery to the starter motor bolt, i have not yet looked if the late one needs it but if it does it will be done right away, this help the car to start better in the winter /cold months
