My discovery got keyed on both sides from front to back and at different heights on each side. It pretty bad. This happened about 6 weeks ago. which really p*ssed me off as i had put alot of work and money into the discovery to get it through a mot, then alot of work getting the body work looking in good condition. i was very happy with the progress then some ******* **** ******** ******* ba*tards done the key work on the motor how nice of them NOT! .
Im not willing to spend the amount of money on another paint job as to be honest i just cannot afford it.
Anyway im thinking about giving it the camouflage look. So the question is do i camouflage it or do i try and hide the key marks with vinyl? Bairing in mind its gonna take some vinyl as i obviously cannot just stick bits onto the keyed areas.
So has anyone got any idea of what will look the best colours for a camouflage look? has anyone done a camouflage discovery before? and where is the best place to get the paints? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Snigger vinyl that will look ****e, but then again you could do this

camo's been done, but if you feel you must (please dont) NATO paint can be got from many surplus suppliers eg anchor supplies. and no Im not going to make it easy by giving a link as i think a camo disco is just plain wrong - if you want military look buy an old army landy.
have a nice day

I agree a Disco in Camouflage just wouldn't look right, however a Disco in one shade would look pretty good. Something like a sand colour in matt, with features in matt black. Matt paint looks ok if hand painted (unlike gloss). Absolute shame your Disco was keyed in the first place, why anyone would even want to do it is beyond comprehension

Good luck with the re-paint.

Nigel.

Could you get creative with some strips of ali chequerplate ? You could consider it an offroading upgrade then rather than a bodge cover-up paint job

I saw one on Ebay a few years back that had been wrapped with a leaf litter pattern. It looked great. The base colour was light metalic blue
