Hi Guys, I've just fitted Rocky Mountain PB springs............ and the book says to tighten u bolts under load "3 adults standing on front bumper)......... I don't have a spare 3 adults or bags of potatoes to add weight. Can I jack the springs up ( half of there movement range ) and tighten bolts ??? would this work ?
Sorry for the newbie asking so many questions :(

i dont think it should really matter as long as you had load i.e the vehicle lowered down not on the jack, does it have the engine and all in, if so that should be enough to load up the springs mate.

Tony.

Just lower it down onto its wheels, bounce it a few times in each corner, then tighten the bolts.

Its the fixing bolts through the bush's at the spring ends that you need tighten under load, that is with the vehicle on its wheels. This is so that at rest the bushes have no twisting tension on them.
