Hi all,

I got my first Defender 90 County 300Tdi when I was 22 and have been smitten ever since. I owned it for 6 years and sold it a couple years ago. I have been without ever since.

I was looking for my ideal Defender but after 2 years I had not seen anything that suited my taste and budget. So I decide to have one "built" by a bespoke defender company up in Newcastle. I am hoping to take delivery in the next 4 weeks or so.

Once all the major stuff is done I will continue to modify the interior and external add ons over time. So I will likely be a regular on here, asking the more experienced owners for advice.

Cheers everyone

James

Thanks for the welcome,
It is a 300Tdi 110 County spec, which is basically the donor model. It is going to be a fancy work van when it is all done. It wont see any mud but it will be a daily work horse for the business.
I am removing the rear side windows and putting in solid utility sides, then ply lining and racking it out. The reason I did not get a utility is because all the ones I viewed were battered to hell, which is not surprising really.
It will get a bare metal panel by panel re-spray in Alpine white, with a gloss black puma bonnet, roof and spats.

For now the interior and wheels will remain standard until I save some more pennies. I will probably get the windows tinted also.

Although when I say "I", I actually am not doing anything other than ply lining. A export company is doing it all. I am just handing over the money
