Evening All.
Firstly, thank you to the many members whose posts I’ve enjoyed reading so far and the advice I’ve picked up on those. So now it’s my turn to give back, and hopefully pick more up along the way.
I’ve a Discovery 2 TD5 Landmark; it’s been my dream to own a Disco for many years. Ever since I saw a brand spanking new 300tdi at the driving range car park in 1994. Jet black, looked awesome.
So I got my Disco at the end of 2018 and while I thought I’d gotten a good deal based on condition, spec, mileage etc, she had many hidden secrets. Some hiding behind cardboard, but that’s a story for a different day. But, I was smitten and had hankered after a TD5 since a mate at work had one new in 2003, so here we are.
Presently, she’s sat on axle stands on the drive. In fact, she’s been there since March because I now have a new mistress: my welder….
Anyhoo, I’ve got tales to tell and plenty of work to do over the next few months, so hopefully I can keep you somewhat entertained over winter and in return maybe a check on my sanity?!
