I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for helping me learn more about my Land Rover. The folks here are awesome and dont care that I am a FNG to the scene. I think Busters write ups are great, I used his wead sprayer pump idea to change the ATF fluid and it worked a treat. I have to do the gear oil now and I am going to try the sprayer again. I will probably have a little trouble because the oil is thicker but I am going to give it a go. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for all the support.

I couldn't agree more. I've not been on the forum long, as i only got the landy towards the end of last year, and was a complete newbie until then. But I to have found the forum excellent.

Busters write ups are top notch, and he seems to have a photo of every square inch of his landy, and I'm sure i owe james martin a pint or two, as well as a few of the other guys on here.

My only gripe with the forum is that it's quite addictive. I keep getting caught on here at work, when im supposed to be working.

as above. don`t want to tempt fate as my disco`s been reliable so far. but i`m on this site every day. very addictive.
regarding the gear oil. did the oil in my axles last weekend and used planet 75/90 cl5 semi synth. compared to the treacle like stuff that came out of the axles. this stuff was very fluid and virtually transparent so should pump quite easily.

Imagine buster doing the last one about the panty line
:hysterically_laughi

sorry buster, but that is a funny image though:lol:

no, I dont think I'll be joining you on that particular image in my head.

and just to join the crowd, Buster, you are a gentleman and a scholar, I tip my hat to you Sir.

ah..... so the weed sprayer is used to pump the fresh oil in! I had some sneaky suspicion that the weed sprayer was somehow used to suck the old oil out so you didn't have to access annoyingly inaccessible places!

All makes sense now.
