Series 3 diesel knock

hi, this video shows the knocking sound that my Land Rover 2.25 diesel has. I am pretty sure its a diesel knock from an injector, however I don't know wether it could be bottom end? or even a hot spot? anyone know what this is? I am leaning towards a bad injector because when cold it likes to miss and puff smoke on one cylinder.

Did you check the heater plugs and test by slacking off injector nuts

yes, all working fine. does it sound like diesel knock to you?

It would be better if the vid was under bonnet , what happened when you slacked off each injector nut in turn when it’s running

I will get a video from inside the bonnet later. when I slackened off the injectors it wouldn't stay running, and would stall.

When I did mine when I had diesel knock when you slackened the faulty one it still ran whereas on the good ones. It stalled. I also disconnected suspect injector swung the pipe round so you could see spray pattern and it was more like a single jet than a spray

Slackened them one at a time rather than all together?

It should still run, albeit not well, with only one injector slackened at a time.

Sounds better than mine. I couldn’t even hear a knock
