Hey,
I'm thinking of replac8ng my stock sagged springs.
I heard about terrafirma and I'm considering them.
My question is which ones?
They have the light duty for cars without still bumpers but as far as I understand it is for the V8 and not the tdi.
Tdi should go with the meduim duty?
Thank you,
Saar

You could buy Terrafirma or you could go with original LR springs.

I would recommend original over and above all else but if you want to go for aftermarket then you won't go far wrong with Terrafirma.

Do you have a winch and or HD bumper?

What kind of loads to you carry in the back?

Do you have anti roll bars?

Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
I don't have a winch or hd bumper but i have the tdi engine.
On the back i have 100-200 kg while traveling and about 70 kg daily.
(I use it mostly for traveling so the daily is less important)
Thank you,
Saar

You're be lucky the find original Land Rover springs in Israel, they have been obsolete and therefore have been rarely available here in the U.K. for years.

Back to Terrafirma spring the D1 Diesel springs are different for the front due to the extra weight and also 'handed' so different between left and right sides.
So why not enquire on what's suitable for your D1s use with Terrafirma or your supplier, also, I would suspect that there are spings available locally that we haven heard of in the UK, if you wish to look for an OEM then try British Springs who still produce springs with the factory fit specification.

Sent from my iPad Air on a train.

Thanks. I also don't think I'll find new factory ones.
Do you have the relevant catalog numbers of terrafirma?
We do not have an official import of them to Israel so there is no dealer for them...
Thanks,
Saar

I run Terrafirma +2" medium duty springs front and rear, I have a front mounted winch on a heavy duty front bumper and it rides fine, I don't have anti roll bars either and any body roll is barely noticeable.

Here's a link to Terrafirma, a quick look gives me the option that they don't anything in the way of standard springs.

I don't mind having the 2" lift, actually, that can be nice...
The question is which springs fit the tdi 300 with no winch/heavy bumper, the light duty or meduim one?

The question is, is there the possibility of any additional weight to be carried and if so the amount. If not it's light duty = standard but two inches lift. All the info is stated in Terrafirma's guide on springs shown in the link.

Thank you.
I read terrafirma's guide, I couldn't find anying regarding the differences between the tdi and V8....
Thank is the reason I asked...

That maybe because you have chosen an aftermarket product, with my quick look at the the spec, although i may have missed something it seems to me that Terrafirma's springs are for the rear only, which are the same what ever engine is fitted, so possibly it's 'one spring fits all', it's the fronts that are different with the 300 series as already stated.

Perhaps u should look for a complete spring kit something that the parts supplier Britpart sell.

There are different parts for front coil springs.
TF018 are front medium while TF014 are light duty.

Okay, so take your pick, obviously they aren't 'handed' than as LR specified for the diesel, although it appears from info in my D1 parts catalogue the V8 has 'handed' front springs for markets other than the UK.
It appears that now the genuine springs are obsolete getting the correct replacements can be a mine field, and if you wish to have original spec replacement is to use an OEM part not After Market.
