Coil conversion - What was I thinking. New pump and 4 new bags and I'm all good

I guess I need to have the engine running for a while when I initially re install the new compressor so the tank fills up?
Yes, keep a door open so it doesn’t try to raise up while it’s filling making it work even harder. If you leave the top of the eas box off it will be very obvious when it cuts out when the tank is full, hop in close the door and select a height and it should raise up.

I have the rsw software so can use that for testing. What should the heights be set to in the software for the various heights, anyone know?

That is something that will vary for many reasons such as wear in the sensors, weight etc.

I believe there is a guide in the technical guide part at the top of the forum but basically boils down to cut some round bits of wood for each specific height, pop them in the holes for the bump stops lower the body down onto them, see what height the sensors read and note them down, repeat for each height then program the numbers that you wrote down. All done while on a completely level and flat surface, correct tyre pressure not sitting in the car and all that malarkey. The guide explains it better.

Engine running, door open for at least 5 minutes to allow the tank to fill, shut the door (window open) and it should magically rise if there are not faults present.

Thanks for that. That's really helpful. That makes things easier all round. I guess I can just use the RSW software to increase / decrease the sensor heights on each corner

You can adjust corner heights in the "Heights" tab, read the sensor values and write them back in the calibrate section.
I have a metal rod with the heights marked and another mark for the wheel centre, makes the job easy.
 
Well, the new compressor has arrived and the blue airline has a different fitting that goes into the compressor. Does anyone know what size the air pipe is, as my thinking, instead of removing the whole Valve block to get to the other end, is to connect two piece of pipe (one from the Valve Block, the other from the new compressor) together with some flexible air pipe and fittings but cant seem to work out what size it is.

Looks to be outside diameter about 6mm and inside diameter about 5 mm

The diagram of the valve block seems to show the the line going from valve block to compressor as 8mm
 
Yeah I saw that too, the new compressor certainly looks to 6 mm with a 4mm inside measurement.

Just looking at this post https://www.rangerovers.net/threads/eas-air-line-upgrade.29221/ seems to indicate it's 6mm
I believe the pipes to the various airbags are 6mm but not the compressor, if you look at the valve diagram it seems to suggest the same 6mm to air bags but 8mm for the compressor. Though presumably with the right fittings I don’t see why 6mm wouldn’t work.

Can you not swap the fitting in the compressor to match the existing blue pipe? You should avoid any extra joints. Reducing the pipe internal diameter will decrease the airflow a little.
 
Update

New compressor is on and EAS is working correctly. Heights have been set with a stick as per Datatek post above.

Not yet done the soapy water test but compressor seemed to be running all the time I was adjusting the levels, about 20 minutes or so.

Removed the delay relay and left it high to see if there is a drop overnight.

4 new bags will be here next week so will have those fitted, before I do some serious miles in it.
