TDI Conversion trouble need advice please

Hi there guys havn't been on here in a while internets been down,
Iv just put a 200tdi in my S3 and shes cranking over im getting fuel coming out the return line but its not firing up??
any ideas??

(the engine started first time on the key before she went in)

I did think that but then if that was the case i wouldnt be getting any fuel coming through the return pipe i would'nt have thought ?/?

think I'd try and re-bleed.....at the filter and injection pump to make sure there's no air anywhere, only takes a few minutes so nothing to lose

Ok just rebled it coming through at the filter then at the injection pump,
but still nothing !!

check for fuel at the injectors.......is she turning over freely?

crack open the pipes to an injector and make sure there is fuel coming out of it when u turn the engine over.

also silly suggestion im sure but was it a peterol you converted it from if so have you got it all out the tank.

also have you checked heater plugs.....how have you wired them up....though a 200 will usually fire up after a bit without unless its really cold

Havn't wired up the heater plugs yet as like you say i thought after some cranking it would fire up il have a go at wiring them

You should be able to hear the stop solenoid go click when you switch on/off.

Yer i can here the stop solonoid click,
Im getting white smoke from the exhaust when i crank her iv wired the heat plug relay and i can hear it go ping.
But just no starting ??

do you have a high enough cranking speed and is solenoid staying open when cranking some wires go dead during cranking

HAHA you cracked it !!!
The fuel solonoid wire was saying it was live but then when cranking not getting anything, put the wire straight from the battery and she fired up straight away !!!!
