YES YES its been covered before. BUT now thats its nearly 2012 i want more upto date info advice educated opinions. surely the naughty gremlins have been ironed out by now!

As some of you know my landy is no more

So i need a new one (well new to me)

Iv spotted a real bang tidy tdci for right money.

The thing is are they any good? or should i buy another TD5 that iv never had any issues with at all! with all 3 that i have owned.

Has the jolting forward been fixed? (hill decent) is it because or compression or anti stall features?
What about the rear diff?
EGR complaints that people have been saying about and loss of power because of sensors?

Cheers

its just a transit... boring!

get a td5, sound awesome and have bags of torque! id never have one of the new ones, if i was to get another itd be td5, purely for the noise!

never used one with hill descent or anti stall. Not had any diff problems at the back with ours, although one of ours had a dry front diff after 1000 miles.Theyre bulit to LRs consistant standard. Make of that what you will.

I love my 09 110XS Utility Wagon.
It doesn't jolt forward and it doesn't have HDC (it does have TC though).
The rear diff is fine.
It did go into limp mode a couple of times in the early days - that was fixed by a software update.
It also dropped it's PS fluid on the ground - some stupid Brummie hadn't tightened the hose union properly.
Anti stall is awesome!
Only disappointing thing is fool consumption - 23mpg consistently.

I know the 5 cylinder was awesome with ians stainless exhaust on it and K&N & i want the new dash :) im not to fussed with it being boring aslong as its not going to be a trip to the stealers every month! i can mod as please in time.

They had a recall for somthing along the line to do with the pinion in the diff.there are people who have had four rear diffs! but i dont see it as they have been the same since RRC

there was a video on youtube that shows exactly what i mean with the jumpy descent on compression/anti-stall but can i find it can i hell!

O and they have to go back to the main steal for a different sump to be fitted because if offroading the prop hits it LOL

Great stuff! i must admit i have drooled over your 110!

23MPG WHAT!!!! THAT MAD i used to get 28 in the td5 knocking about. 33 on a run. but mine was a 90.

Well fingers crossed iv bought one tomorrow :) it's one of the last td5s just before the TDCI. I do love the td5 ( the sound o baby) and the TDCI not getting anymore mpg and for the sake of a dash. I thought sod it.

Well let's see how it goes when I go look at her!

I get 26+ mpg from mine (?) although it is the newest version (110SW - 2011). I love it to bits (tempting fate there...) - even my wife has warmed to it :) Sure it's got a Transit engine but it's still a hell of a lot louder (why?) and still got soul
