In the procces of changing an injector on my TD6 I have managed to begger the threads on the studs, I can get them out, but I can't find anyone who can supply replacements and my independent chap is not having much luck either.

Not helped, as I cannot find a part number, any suggests of where I could source two?

As images below.....

One part number supercedes the other.....

John Craddock list them as available, as does Brit-Car....

Thanks but it does not look like the part I am looking for, i have found a TD4 part that looks the same (bloody expensive as well) but am not sure if they are the same part , and can not find similar in the part catogue for the td6

The td4 ones can be seen on this link:

Question is, are they the same?

Cheers

The item I have linked to is the stud that holds the injector in place....which I thought is what you wanted from your description....

'In the procces of changing an injector on my TD6 I have managed to begger the threads on the studs....'

So it isn't the injector retaining stud you are after then?

Got some from Rimmer Brothers pack of eight at the same price as craddocks were quoting for one. Turns out the LR have changed the part no, lucky the old part no is for a full set, as the new no refers to one item.

All having conducted a comprensive search of the parts catalogue I am sure the author had omitted to include the part for the TD6. The drawings for the TD6 and TD4 are identical except for this part.

End results I will be selling some bolts of eBay and hopefully some other incompetent diy fitter such as mysell will be saved some head scratching (and some money)

As always thanks for your help, St V8 I hope my poor disciption did waste too much of your time.
