I have just been out in my Discovery TD5 and whiles i was out the car started to make the 3 beep warning noise, then when I braked the off road light came on and went off?, then the self levelling suspension light came on and again went off?, as I got closer to home the ABS light came on along with the Traction control light, I pulled up out side my house and I stopped the car, took the keys out and then I tried to restart the car, nothing happened it didn't turn over? and its just making the 3 beeping noise from the car?? along with a clicking noise like the started was stuck? anyone got any ideas?

i have tried to start it but it just clicks i have just jump started it and it ran ok i think its the battery not holding charge
i'll get a new one tomorrow and give it a go
many thanks for your help

ok guys, i have just put a new battery on the old gal as she was showing up as knackered,
problem is on the volt meter its now showing no difference when the engines running to when its off? but there was difference on the old battery? any one any idea how much charge they are supposed to be pushing?

What you need to do is measure the voltage with it ticking over. Then turn as much as possible on like main beam heated rear screen fog lights etc. then measure again, if your alternator is good the voltage will be the same, if not it will be lower.
